Marcu Polo is a soft and classic polo t-shirt, knitted on small needles for a stylish and clean look. The button band is made using double knitting and the length of both the sleeves and the body can be easily altered for personal shape and preferences, because the polo is knitted top-down

Here we knit Marcu Polo in Önling No 11, which is a wonderful blend of merino wool and cashmere. You will get a warm polo t-shirt perfect for everyday use, that you can wear all year around.

Marcu Polo is a fitted short sleeved shirt and it is designed to be worn with a positive ease of approximately 0-10 cm at the bust (or the widest part of your upper body).
For example, if you measure 70-75 (75-85) 85-90 (90-95) 95-100 (100-106) 106-114 (114-122) 122-130 (130-140) cm // 271⁄2-291⁄2 (291⁄2-331⁄2) 331⁄2-351⁄2 (351⁄2-371⁄2) 371⁄2-391⁄4 (391⁄4-413⁄4) 413⁄4-45 (45-48) 48-511⁄4 (511⁄4-55) inches, you should knit a size XXS (XS) S (M) L (XL) 2XL (3XL) 4XL (5XL)

Before starting your project, measure yourself to determine which size to knit.

The model in the picture measures 103 cm // 401⁄2 inches around the chest, is 185 cm // 6’1 feet tall, and is wearing a size XL. The positive ease worn is therefore approx. 3 cm // 11⁄4 inch

Materials:
175 (175) 200 (200) 225 (250) 275 (300) 325 (350) g Önling no 11, 90% Merino Superfine Super 100’s wool and 10% Cashmere, 25 g = approximately 197 yards (180 meters)

You work with 1 strand throughout 

Gauge:
32 masker x 48 pinde i glatstrik = 10 x 10 cm på pind 2,5 mm

Suggested needles:
Circular needles 2.5 mm/US 1.5 40 cm/80 cm or 100 cm // 16”/32”/40”
Circular needles 2 mm / US 0 80 cm/32”
Double pointed needles 2.5 mm/US 1.5 and double pointed needles 2 mm/US 0 if the the magic loop technique is not used.

Notions:
4 buttons size. 11-14 mm // 7/16″-9/16″ // 18-22L

Procedure:
The polo is knitted top-down, so that the length of both the sleeves and the body can be easily altered for personal shape and preferences. Firstly the back piece is knitted and then the left and right front piece. The whole thing is joined in the round and knitted until it reaches the desired length. The button band is made using double knitting, and afterwards stitches for the collar are picked up and worked in double knitting and 1×1 rib. The sleeves are shaped and worked using german shorts, rib and double knitting.
