Sandnes Barn – Learn To Knit! Kit

This kit is great for kids – or beginning knitters of any age! – to learn to knit.  The package contains everything you need to get started: Instructions and pattern booklet, 2 skeins Sandnes Garn Fritidsgarn, and knitting needles (5mm).

In the booklet you will find patterns for all in garter stitch and include wrist warmers, pencil case, head band, slippers, and pot holders. The accessory patterns are designed to fit children aged 6-8 years

The Fritidsgarn is a more “rustic” Norwegian wool yarn, which more sensitive kids might feel a bit “scratchy”, however, we think this is a great yarn for getting started! A yarn that is more “sticky” is easier to work with and any dropped stitches will be much easier to pick up! (Because we all drop stitches when starting out!)
